Here are a couple additional pics of the "Scotty Special" Or Trash Can Racer! Looks like there are 5 other frames, 7 other metal trash can covers LOL!!, 6 steering setups, 3 floorboards, 6 steering wheels, 4 shifters, 2 motors (need rebuild) a pile of wheels, lights and assorted other pieces, so I may be able to assemble a couple more.

Thanks Rod for the pick up.

It has an odd motor and axle setup, nothing like the Juniors. I am considering switching some of them to the starter motor jack shaft arrangement as I am not sure I will be able to find motors like these??? Anyone recognize them????

Looks like a gear reduction drive.
Are there any casting numbers or identifying marks on them?

It's been awhile since I checked in but let me say I was glad to pick up these 'Trash Can Racers' for Special Scotty! :D I was amazed how much stuff there was considering I never saw one until Scott uncovered these. The one that is complete actually runs and my daughter took it a 'test drive' up and down the driveway. I told her I'd charge up the battery and give her directions to Scott for delivery but she didn't bite.

I didn't get a chance to look it over real close but will try to take a look this weekend. It's a pretty neat piece and fits nicely onto the starter motor. I'm at a loss as to what it may have been originally used for :?: :?:
