Nothing owed here my friend! Just glad to help out a fellow Jr enthusiast. We had a wonderful visit and were so glad to finally meet you, your wife and 'little lamb'. :D

Well I got a look at the Scotty motors, and here is the info from them if any of you car buffs can identify what car this motor may have came of of I would appreciate the info as I would like to try to rebuild a couple Scottys. I googled, no luck.

The motor says the following:

TEM D.C. Motor
Type DMI-127
Volt 12
AMP 21
Tokyo TIYO ELECTRIC WORKS Japan

Scott
yes, those little cars were VERY early Powercar. Good for you for finding it.
Enjoy!

If Scott is ever in your neighborhood, hide your Jrs well or he will find them!

Now you can see why he needed a cover to keep from drawing attention!

That trailer had to attract some attention on the drive home there Scott.
You are going to need a fleet of volunteers for the parade season next year if you get them all done.

Yes, the t-bird really drew attention! Reassembly of the Scotty's will be a task, I will probably go with the regular starter motor set up as I doubt I will find the right angle motors/gearbox have searched the web with the info from the tag to no avail, I have a few new starter motors equipped with built in fwd/rev so will probably switch to them.

My wife says I would get more done if I worked on the juniors as much as I hunt the juniors, but lets all be honest we enjoy the hunt more!!!

I've just got my kid's Star Lite car out of the attic to fix up for my grandkids. I found the forum because my car has TIYO motor and setup like the Scotty Special. I fact the Scotty Special looks like my frame with out my metal body--same steering, shifter, petals, frame design, etc.
I'm lookong for help regarding the TIYO motor--mine needs to be rebuild, but do not know if parts exist. Any information would be helpful. Thanks
