What happened to all of the tanks?

Back in the early days of Powercar before the name was even changed to The Powercar Company they made a pedal operated combat tank.

If I have my history correct the first company was New London Metal Products in New London CT around 1949 and they made the Caterpillar tractor. Then the company moved to Mystic and became the Mystic River sales company and other products were added such as the tank and the train all based on the same platorm with the tank and the Caterpillar having tracks and handle steering and the train with car like steering. The train and Caterpillar were all metal construction were the body on the tanks were fiberglass. Then the first showing of the name Powercar surfaced on the train but then around 1953 with the Powercar special was the first with a car body based on a not specific sports car with electric drive and fiberglass body.

I guess my question is why have I never seen one of the tanks? I would assume they were a good seller? heck they were a tank and they shot ping pong balls! Think of the destruction you could do to the neighborhood girls with that thing. What red blooded American boy would not want one? Heck I want one! where did they all go?

I collect antique Eska brand pedal tractors and the Caterpillar model is very rare and expensive (around $4000-5000 restored). They made 3 models - battery/gas/pedal powered. I have never seen the tank model.
