Questions

Postby smudvapor » Sun Dec 21, 2014 8:43 am

I have a few questions. I am working on a 67 Mustang Adult Electric.
When you are mounting the hubcaps, how do you cut them to fit the wheels?
If you glue them with silicone do you put the hubcap on the outside of the wheel or cut it so it goes along the inside of the wheel?
My dash seems to be a lot shorter than the car dash, is this common or do I have the wrong dash? I know it is a 67. How is the dash mounted in the car? Screws glue?
Thanks
Scott

The hubcaps are cut to fit inside the rim not over the rim. a small amount of clear silicone on the back of the cap on the other edge will hold it in place and will allow the cap to be removed in case of a flat tire etc.

Original dashes for the 67s were glued on and the picture below shows that they do not go all the way to the end. Not sure why the photo shows the headlight switch in the center of the dash most were mounted to the left of the dash.

Thanks for the reply. I looked all over the place and I didn't see that pick of the dash, thanks.
